Senior Mining Engineer I

Key Responsibilities:

• Support clients in evaluating and developing mining solutions, including mine access planning, mining method selection, and supporting infrastructure.
• Assist with open pit mine design, phase planning, and optimization to ensure safe and efficient resource extraction.
• Perform waste dump design, haul road design, fleet evaluations, and equipment analysis for mining operations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a BS in Mining Engineering or related field and 4+ years of experience.
• Preferred: 6 years of progressive surface mining experience and proficiency with mine planning software like MineSight or Deswik.
• EIT certification or progression toward PE licensure is an asset.

Additional Information:

• No sponsorship or relocation will be offered for this role.
• All new hires must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office.
• Travel approximately 20% domestically and internationally as required.
