About the Role:
- We are seeking an experienced underwriting professional to join our Risk Management team.
- You will assess financial risk of new and existing customers and make decisions based on policy guidelines.
- You will collaborate with sales, data science, and product management to deliver best-in-class customer experience.
What You'll Do:
- Collect and analyze applicants' financial, demographic, and historic information.
- Communicate directly with clients and sales about application status and required documents.
- Make timely decisions on applications and perform portfolio management to identify suspicious items.
What We're Looking For:
- 2-3+ years of underwriting experience in financial services or fintech.
- Strong critical reasoning, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with U.S. compliance and lending regulations (KYC, Reg B, Reg Z, UDAAP, FCBA, Truth in Lending Act).
