Director, Data Platform

Responsibilities:

• - Own the end-to-end data platform lifecycle, including pipeline orchestration, warehouse infrastructure, and delivery frameworks.
• - Design and evolve scalable data architectures for analytics, AI, and BI needs; align with business priorities.
• - Build foundational data models and semantic layers to deliver consistent, trusted data assets.

Team Leadership:

• - Mentor a distributed data engineering team, promoting technical excellence and autonomy.
• - Drive architectural discipline through design reviews, RFCs, and code reviews.
• - Collaborate with data science, analytics, and business leaders to set priorities and standards.

Security & Compliance:

• - Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulations for sensitive healthcare data.
• - Implement access controls, data protection, and audit readiness.
• - Promote responsible AI adoption and governance standards.

Requirements:

• - 10+ years in data engineering with 4+ years in leadership.
• - Strong command of cloud platforms, orchestration, and dbt.
• - Experience in regulated industries and healthcare data is preferred.
