Staff Software Engineer

We are hiring a Staff Software Engineer to join the Patient Experience Team at Rula, a team that owns the end-to-end care journey for our patients and is responsible for building and maintaining the patient portal where patients manage scheduling, billing, and communicating with their care team. As a Staff Engineer, you will lead the design and development of high-impact, full-stack systems and play a key role in defining the team’s technical direction. You’ll collaborate closely with product and engineering partners to guide architectural decisions and ensure our systems are reliable, secure, and scalable. Beyond delivering mission-critical features, you’ll also mentor engineers, influence the technical roadmap, and help shape Rula’s broader engineering culture. Your work will have a direct and lasting impact on how people access and experience mental healthcare.
