The NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) protects and enhances the daily economic lives of New Yorkers to create thriving communities. This role supports businesses through equitable enforcement and access to resources, protects the marketplace from predatory practices, and strives to create a culture of compliance. As an Assistant Supervisor in the Licensing Division, you'll manage unit operations, process applications, and provide customer service. Key responsibilities involve performing clerical work, checking records, preparing reports, monitoring staff, and assisting applicants with interagency communication. Additional tasks include answering telephone calls, emails, and written correspondence, plus attending seminars and trainings. The role requires a high school diploma and one year of clerical experience, along with keyboard familiarity and the ability to type at a minimum of 20 words per minute.
