Job Description

Looking for a seasoned medical communications professional. As an Account Director, you’ll play a central role in shaping publication strategy, fostering client relationships, and ensuring the successful delivery of all scientific and tactical deliverables. You’ll also be responsible for driving operational excellence, financial performance, and team development within your business unit.

You will lead the strategic direction, execution, and growth of publication accounts—ensuring exceptional client satisfaction and high scientific standards. Your responsibilities will include: Providing strategic oversight and leadership on publication planning and delivery, ensuring alignment with client objectives and scientific integrity. Building and maintaining strong client partnerships, acting as a trusted advisor and senior point of contact. Overseeing the development and execution of comprehensive publication plans, including manuscripts, abstracts, congress presentations, and post-congress communications. Leading and mentoring a team of account and project managers, providing clear direction, professional development, and performance feedback. Ensuring financial accountability across accounts, including budget oversight, SOW development, forecasting, and resource management. Collaborating closely with scientific and editorial teams to ensure content quality, compliance with Good Publication Practice (GPP), and adherence to industry standards. Identifying opportunities for organic account growth and supporting new business initiatives and proposal development. Championing operational efficiency and best practices to drive consistency and excellence across the publications function.
