Job Description
The advanced advertising industry is at a pivotal moment, and 2025 represents a transformative year for OpenAP. As the Product and Engineering Teams have grown, OpenAP needs a Technical Project Manager with a background in software development to level-up OpenAPโs project management capabilities. The Technical Project Manager will support the Director of Technology Solutions by leading the engineering team in day-to-day operational tasks from scoping new features and scheduling project work, to creating Jira tickets, coordinating Production releases, and hosting team retrospectives. This person will proactively identify dependencies, keep developers unblocked, keep stakeholders up-to-speed on active projects, and help the Engineering team deliver quality work on schedule.
As a Technical Project Manager for OpenAPโs Engineering team, your leadership directly impacts when the Product and Engineering teams interact, what developers are working on, how the team stays organized, and overall operational efficiency. By driving the successful delivery of complex projects, you will strengthen OpenAPโs partnerships and ensure our continued success in delivering innovative technology solutions. You will plan upcoming sprints with developers to ensure projects are completed and released on time, schedule and run agile ceremonies for the engineering team, including sprint planning, grooming, standup, and retrospectives, assist the team in breaking down work into manageable tasks and estimating effort, work with Product to ensure the backlog is well-groomed and prioritized, facilitate cross-functional meetings, identify dependencies and potential risks early, implement mitigation strategies, foster a collaborative environment, provide visibility into development progress and overall project status, refine delivery methodologies and frameworks to enhance efficiency, work with OpenAPโs team to support platform-related questions and issues.
