Software Engineer, Internal Tools and AI

Monarch is seeking a Software Engineer with a focus in internal tools and AI to join the Platform team. Reporting to the Head of Software Infrastructure, you will design, build, and scale internal tools that power the engineering organization and greater business teams. This role is at the intersection of AI, automation, and developer experience, shaping how engineers build, ship, and operate software. You will support projects such as enhancing internal CLI, building AI-assisted developer tools, and integrating automation across the platform. Responsibilities include developing internal tools like the internal CLI, GitHub Actions, and Slack bots to streamline workflows; evaluating and integrating AI-powered tools to improve productivity and code quality; building internal APIs to support automation and developer capabilities; and improving tools post-deployment to ensure performance and adoption. Collaboration with engineering and business operations teams to identify pain points and deliver solutions is crucial.
