Director, Cyber Resiliency

Build a legacy of security excellence as Chainguard scales at hyperspeed, championing cutting-edge security practices and technology. Foster a culture of excellence, optimism, and transparency around cybersecurity, leading strategic security initiatives.

Lead the Cyber Resiliency team, including cloud security engineering, threat detection and response (TDR), and incident readiness. Design best-in-class 24/7 detection and lightning-fast response processes, supercharging the detection toolset. Implement defensive tech to detect, disrupt, and contain threats at machine speed.

Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Product Security, and SRE to integrate security best practices into the product and tech pipeline. Engage externally with partners, customers, and auditors, representing Chainguard’s security posture. Stay informed on threat intelligence and new adversary tactics to strengthen defenses.

Looking for leadership that inspires optimism and empowers the team. Experience in building and leading high-performing TDR, SOC, or threat hunting teams, with Level 999 Wizard abilities in designing and scaling detection and prevention mechanisms in AWS, GCP, Azure, and modern CI/CD. Strong communication skills to translate technical terms for execs, engineers, and customers. Bonus points for automation chops and enthusiasm for compliance checklists.
