Job Description
Sora seeks candidates to serve as both short-term (on call) and long-term (contacted in advance for a planned, set period of time) substitute teachers. Duties may include leading learning experiences in keeping with Sora’s mission, providing formative and summative feedback to students, managing the virtual classroom to ensure a positive environment, convening house meetings and participating in faculty meetings.
Experience should be at the secondary or postsecondary level. For Humanities, experience in US and World History, Philosophy, Economics, or Government, and English Language Arts is desirable. For STEM, experience in Algebra I through Calculus, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Environmental Science is desirable. Experience with coding or robotics preferred.
