Team Lead, Android Core Product

Responsibilities:

• Own major features end to end, working closely with design, from decision through release.
• Review pull requests and give feedback people learn from, not just approval.
• Manage reliability metrics and reduce manual intervention for releases.

Team Leadership:

• Notice when someone is stuck and take a look yourself.
• Consolidate duplicated solutions and decide which version becomes standard.
• Run planning so the team focuses on decisions, not already-clear work.
• Ensure early-career engineers get work they can learn from.

Technical Requirements:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including leading a team while staying hands-on.
• Rock solid Kotlin, Coroutines, Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android animations, Jetpack Navigation, JUnit.
• Experience shipping background audio or long-running background work.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary range: 140,000-200,000 USD/year plus bonus and stock.
