About the role:
- This is a 12-month seasonal contract supporting Collective members with payroll tax registrations.
- You'll register new employers with state agencies and ensure payroll software setups are correct.
- You'll keep members informed at every step while resolving state notices.
What you'll do:
- Register businesses with state and local tax agencies, including withholding and SUI/SUTA accounts.
- Review and resolve payroll tax notices, partnering with internal teams and state agencies on complex issues.
- Manage payroll platform ownership and compliance requests during onboarding, offboarding, and relocations.
What you'll bring:
- Experience with multi-state payroll tax registrations and knowledge of state registration requirements.
- Familiarity with payroll platforms like Gusto and ADP, plus ticketing tools like JIRA and ZenDesk.
- Comfort using AI tools, with strong communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced environment.
