We practice end-to-end product design from research, insight-gathering and strategy to delivering beautifully crafted interfaces with measurable impact. Design is at the forefront of everything we do. The job of the Head of Design is to provide and take ownership of the creative vision for the Remote brand and to contribute to the development of its brand definition and user experience principles. To achieve these, you will establish design processes and practices, manage design projects, oversee the Design department and set the bar for quality.
What you bring:
Extensive track record of experience in leading and overseeing design teams including senior staff and senior design leaders, ideally at a tech company for branding and enterprise application design. Have extensive experience leading initiatives from interpreting design briefs, conceptualisation, setting creative direction, establishing goals, and executing projects to a high standard. An impressive portfolio showcasing a deep understanding of branding, design aesthetic, and excellent UX/UI; being able to lead a design department in all these areas. Strong working knowledge of product design, typography, website design, other types of visual design both online and in traditional media, brand development and the creative process. Fluency in product design trends and leading design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and others. Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. A kind, empathetic and patient person, and someone who cares deeply about diversity and inclusion.
