Manager, California Government Affairs

The Government Affairs Lead for California and the West is the state’s policy expert inside the company’s Government Affairs team and will lead expansion into other western states as needed by Intersect Power. This position is responsible for oversight and management of all relevant California state legislative and regulatory activity in support of the company’s development and operations activities in the state including the California Legislature, the CPUC, and the CEC. External representation of the company with key stakeholder groups including trade associations, labor, eNGOs, and others is also in scope. The person in this position will strategize and lead campaigns to achieve our legislative and regulatory goals and will ensure the company’s development priorities are aligned with political reality and market opportunity. The position reports to the Head of State Government Affairs and will work directly with the company’s West Development team, Permitting team, and Community Engagement team. The position is based in the Sacramento region and will require in-person engagement at the Capital and aforementioned agencies.
