Security Analyst

Oportun is seeking a Security Analyst passionate about conducting technical analysis for security events. The responsibilities include monitoring traffic and events, advising on remediation actions, and assessing the impact of incidents. The analyst will investigate intrusion attempts, correlate data from various sources, and follow standard procedures for detecting, classifying, and reporting incidents. Analyzing network and host-based security appliance logs to determine remediation and escalation paths is crucial. The role also involves independently identifying, containing, analyzing, documenting, and eradicating malicious activity, along with escalating information on intrusion events and threat indicators. This is a 24/7 position on a rotational shift.
