Implement, administer, and use cybersecurity tools, systems, and applications; develop policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure secure enterprise-wide operations, performance, and resiliency. Deploy, administer, and support security systems and infrastructure including endpoint protection, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and firewalls. Monitor and respond to cybersecurity related events and incidents. Conduct risk assessments and validate security controls.

As a Senior SOC Security Engineer, serve as a key technical expert within the Security Operations Center (SOC). Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of security monitoring and incident response technologies. Enhance the organization’s ability to detect, respond to, and mitigate security threats, mentor junior SOC analysts and engineers, and provide technical guidance.

Provide design, implementation, and support expertise around Burwood’s technology solutions to clients and project teams. Understand customer requirements and align with technology solutions. Work closely with other project team members and manage and execute project-level tasks. Mentor junior and mid-level consultants and participate in business development.

Play a key role within a high-impact technical services team. Monitor and manage security platform operations to ensure the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of the agency’s information systems. Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits to identify and address potential risks and vulnerabilities. Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and controls.

This technical position requires someone to manage, provide technical support, implement, maintain and troubleshoot all security products used by the Firm, with significant hands-on experience with security technologies and solutions; also to perform daily investigation of security incidents, security assessments and audits. Candidates with work experience in financial institutions, government or highly regulated industries are preferred.

As Security Engineer, you will support the Security Engineering toolset by developing, improving, modifying, and assessing security architecture in a hosting- based environment. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and managing scalable security solutions using cloud-agnostic and cloud native security tools, and implementing automated security processes and controls to increase operational effectiveness.
