Senior Database Engineer

As a Senior Data Engineer in the Data Platform group, you'll be responsible for building and operating our cloud database and microservices infrastructure. The Data platform group owns all application and analytics data resources with a focus on deploying and configuring the underlying infrastructure, including data pipelines, and data security, to ensure data availability and uptime. You will deploy cloud resources and configurations using DevOps tooling, preferably Terraform. Deploy, configure and manage AWS services like RDS, Aurora, MSK, Redis, Firehose, redshift, Kinesis, etc. You will also proactively monitor, tune, and optimize queries supporting multi-tenant SaaS applications. Required skills for this position include a BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field, with 5+ years of industry experience. Extensive hands-on experience supporting relational database solutions—including PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MySQL—in large-scale production environments. Experience with DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools for deploying and managing resources in public cloud environments, preferably AWS. Proven experience in application development, preferably with Python and/or Java.
