Responsible for the availability, performance, integrity, and security of the databases. Core responsibilities include installation, administration, operations, support, and maintenance, monitoring & upgrading of database servers to ensure availability, security, with optimal performance. Troubleshoot complex database issues in an accurate and timely manner, ensuring compliance with SLAs / OLAs.

Serve as a technical expert for building, monitoring, optimizing, and maintaining MS SQL Server database environments. Analyze datasets, identifying opportunities for optimization, improving performance. Implement backup & recovery strategies (Full, Differential, Transactional Log backups).

Planning, installing, administering, operating and monitoring relational database management systems (RDBMS). Analyzing problems and errors of DBMS systems. Continuously optimizing, automating, and analyzing the performance of DBMS environments.

• Building, monitoring, and maintaining data pipelines and database solutions.
• Analyzing datasets to identify opportunities for product process optimization.
• Utilizing models to evaluate the effectiveness of different approaches.

• Perform database capacity planning, installation, configuration, database design, migration, performance monitoring, security, troubleshooting, as well as backup and data recovery operations.
• Act as a subject matter expert for data management and interact with internal and external teams to troubleshoot and provide best practices regarding database implementation and maintenance.
• Write and tune SQL queries and review schema designs for optimal performance.

Coordinate and assist with deployment, support activities, database upgrades, and application of patches. Develop data migration plans and scripts, work with Oracle support on issues and bug fixes, manage tablespaces, account management, performance tuning, troubleshooting databases and debugging PLSQL. Plan and schedule maintenance including security patching and emergency responses for database management systems and platforms in the production environment.

You have strong experience with PL/pgSQL, writing efficient SQL queries, tuning performance, and building ETL workflows. You’re comfortable working with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL and navigating complex data structures to support data integration, transformation, and analytics. As a Senior Database Developer, you will play a key role in building and maintaining robust database solutions to support client onboarding, reward processing, data quality, and operational performance.
