LinkedIn's Information Security organization protects members, data, and platforms by building resilient security controls and detecting threats early.
The Detection Engineering team builds and scales threat detection capabilities, partnering closely with Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, and other security teams.

About the Role:

As a senior individual contributor, you will design, build, and operate high-signal detections across endpoint, identity, cloud, and SaaS environments.
You will leverage detections-as-code practices, telemetry modeling, and data-driven efficacy measurements to continuously improve detection coverage and quality.

Responsibilities:

Implement and tune detection content across SIEM/XDR/EDR and cloud telemetry, measuring precision/recall and building detections-as-code with CI/CD.
Proactively hunt for threats, operationalize threat intelligence, and build IR automation for triage, enrichment, and containment.
Own telemetry quality for assigned pipelines and participate in on-call for critical detection pipelines and high-severity investigations.

Qualifications:

You have a BA/BS degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or related field and 3+ years in security, detection engineering, or incident response.
You have experience building detection content for SIEM/XDR/EDR and cloud telemetry, and programming for detections/automation.
