Senior Director, Communications

External and Executive Communications:

• Design and execute a national earned media strategy aligning with KIPP’s annual storytelling arc.
• Provide strategic counsel to senior leadership for executive communications and high-impact placements.
• Strengthen regional alignment and coordinate network-wide efforts.

Network and Internal Communications:

• Lead a cohesive internal communications strategy keeping leaders informed and connected.
• Develop and manage core internal channels and moments.
• Ensure alignment between internal and external messaging.

Crisis Communications:

• Lead design and implementation of crisis communications protocol.
• Build regional capacity through training and operationalizing protocols.
• Proactively advise leadership on mitigation strategies.

Team Leadership:

• Manage and develop one direct report, setting clear goals.
• Build systems and workflows for strong execution.
• Foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture.
