Position Summary:
- Create more equitable, flexible, and learner-centered systems by leveraging stable, robust, and scalable data systems.
- Drive impact by building and enhancing products that power the Mainstay Engagement Platform.
About the Role:
- Find predictive signals in data and turn them into actionable insights for partners.
- Build student-level predictors, analyze conversational data, and improve AI evaluation.
- Collaborate with a lean team and have real say in what to build.
What You'll Do:
- Investigate signals across student engagement, outcomes, and partner health.
- Own AI data tooling, evaluation, and schedule monitoring for deployed models.
- Equip internal teams with reusable data and analysis, and document assumptions.
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years building predictive models with practical NLP and strong SQL and Python skills.
- Experience with modern cloud warehouses and comfort with ambiguity and uncertainty.
- Care about how predictions get used, especially for diverse student populations.
