Lead UX Designer - iOS

The Wikimedia Foundation is seeking a Lead UX Designer to lead all aspects of the user experience for their iOS app, partnering with product leads to execute product strategy. You will reduce complexity to create simple experiences, create prototypes and experiments, use and evolve their design system, apply accessibility standards, and collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers. The role involves distilling complex concepts, improving processes, and mentoring team members. The ideal candidate can craft compelling stories, mentor other designers, use research methods, possess a strong creative vision, and engage with the global design community. Experience in content consumption, publishing, education, or news is a plus, as is experience designing for international audiences. A designer must be available for team meetings and synchronous work between 2:00 PM UTC and 7:00 PM UTC.
