Job Description
This full-stack Staff Software Engineer position within the “Rights and Contracts” organization requires an individual who can develop software, help formalize development process and tooling, and contribute to the technical vision and strategy of the organization.
The role involves working in an agile software development team to complete backlog items, testing and creating automated tests, and ensuring compatibility with other NBCUniversal systems. The Staff Software Engineer will communicate with business partners to understand user needs, create documentation for developers and business users, and maintain cloud-based platforms, troubleshooting issues as necessary.
Qualified candidates will have 8+ years of software development experience, extensive experience in managing relational databases and large-scale data migrations, strong SQL skills, API design experience, and proficiency developing web applications in Python and modern JavaScript frameworks. Experience with AWS, serverless technologies, and CI/CD pipelines is also essential. The ideal candidate should also be passionate about writing clean code and providing mentorship to team members.
