About the Role:
- Build and own the services and APIs that power Self Financial's mobile app and web experiences.
- Operate independently, make sound technical tradeoffs, and mentor earlier-career engineers.
What You'll Do:
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python, Flask, and FastAPI.
- Work with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and REST endpoints for scalability.
- Integrate with third-party services and contribute to best practices in testing and security.
What You Bring:
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with backend ownership.
- Strong knowledge of Python, REST APIs, and web application fundamentals.
- Comfort with Git, code review, and writing reliable, maintainable code.
