Job Description
Accountabilities:
-Abstract, identify, and maintain records for all eligible cancer cases following regulatory and registry standards.
-Monitor data quality and ensure timely, accurate submission to the National Cancer Data Base and Maryland Cancer Registry.
-Coordinate and maintain patient follow-up information.
Requirements:
-Certification as an Oncology Data Specialist (ODS-C) is required.
-Minimum of one year of experience as an Oncology Data Specialist, with knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, and medical office procedures.
-Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
