Data Engineer

Role Overview:

• VetsEZ is seeking a Data Engineer for a remote opportunity supporting a statewide Health Information Exchange (HIE).
• This role builds healthcare data pipelines, owns terminology mapping, and implements data quality remediation.
• This position is contingent upon contract award and requires residence within the continental US.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain data ingestion, transformation, aggregation, and warehouse pipelines.
• Map source clinical codes and local terminology to standard vocabularies like LOINC and SNOMED CT.
• Optimize pipeline performance and ensure secure handling of sensitive health data.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data engineering, or related field with 5+ years of experience.
• Strong SQL, data modeling, and pipeline troubleshooting skills.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Government/Public Trust clearance.
