Engineering Manager

The Engineering Manager will lead Vanta’s Monetization platform team to reimagine Vanta’s customer lifecycle infrastructure by unifying entitlement management, usage tracking, and billing into a cohesive platform. These systems form the critical foundation for how customers purchase, access, and manage Vanta's products. This role offers the unique opportunity to build systems that directly impact Vanta's growth trajectory while solving technically interesting distributed systems problems at the intersection of product, finance, and sales. As an Engineering Manager at Vanta, you will lead, grow and mentor a talented team of backend and full-stack engineers building our core monetization systems. You will also define and execute technical strategy for a unified monetization platform that integrates seamlessly with Finance and GTM Ops, supports multiple sales models (self-serve, direct enterprise, and partner-driven) and establishes shared best practices in data modeling, distributed systems design, and developer experience. You will also platformize entitlements, purchasing and billing—enabling other product teams to manage customer access and pricing logic through scalable, well-defined APIs and reusable UX components. Champion operational excellence and promote strong engineering practices, sustainable delivery, and high reliability as the team scales.
