Epoch AI is looking for a Researcher to help our Consultations and Insights team field requests from external organizations. The role involves informing various stakeholders about their areas of concern in AI, working closely with a Senior Researcher. This role is fully remote, and we are able to hire in many countries. The work takes several forms: On-demand, rapid-turnaround research where clients ask specific questions and receive analysis within a day. Rapid intelligence briefs analyzing major AI development, typically delivered within a few days of major releases. Deep-dive research reports on strategic questions. Consultation calls: We offer 1-hour private calls where clients get targeted analysis on AI questions of their choice. Responsibilities include making estimates and forecasts, responding to client questions, evaluating technical claims, and synthesizing findings into clear written analysis.
