Job Description

The Crash Simulation Engineer is responsible for the development, evaluation and/or application of finite element and/or lumped parameter models in vehicle crash safety & human injury research. This position requires knowledge of vehicle design, crash safety countermeasures, laboratory measurement techniques, vehicle sled modeling and analysis, and test/evaluation devices such as crash test dummies and human body models. Individuals will be required to provide significant technical leadership and contribute to the technical direction of projects. Responsibilities include planning, designing, coordinating, and controlling the progress of project work to meet client objectives, leading technical efforts, creating sled FE models, performing post simulation data analysis, providing recommendations to the client, and developing technical reports and presentations to communicate complex research.
