Database Administrator

Purpose:

• Manage reactive and proactive database activities for commercial IFS customers.
• Cover all IFS supported database platforms and deployment models.
• Design, develop, and deliver processes, tools, and best practices for database management activities.

Key Duties:

• Design common processes for Unified Support teams to use in their day-to-day duties.
• Act as a point of escalation for database service issues.
• Work with R&D to improve the IFS product set in future releases.

Technical Skills:

• Experience implementing and managing critical production systems in the cloud.
• Strong technical experience with Oracle RAC / ASM and Exadata systems.
• Experience with database cloning and writing Linux shell scripts.

Qualifications:

• At least 6 years’ of Oracle DBA experience in cloud computing or enterprise IT.
• At least 2 years of experience managing one other mentioned secondary database systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of cloud computing services or IT service management methodologies.
