Job Description
Simple Technology Solutions (STS) is seeking a Software Developer with deep experience in cloud infrastructure, API performance, and large-scale data systems. You’ll work on a highly visible, cloud-native API that powers data discovery and access for users ranging from scientists to students—helping transform and improve data quality across diverse environmental and socio-economic domains. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-traffic, performance-critical environments and is passionate about infrastructure-as-code, automation, and continuous improvement. The Software Developer at STS will maintain, optimize, and scale a high-availability, AWS-hosted API system. This includes configuring, tuning, and troubleshooting Elasticsearch clusters for performance and resiliency and automating infrastructure management using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
