Senior Software Engineer, Payments & Ledger

About the Role:

• Full-time remote engineering role owning payment systems and ledgers.
• Work directly with Finance and Compliance to keep the books clean.
• Take on-call for payment systems, especially during big sports weekends.

What You'll Own:

• Design and grow the double-entry ledger and wallet services.
• Build payment flows for cards, ACH, and future processors.
• Run real-time risk checks and integrate KYC, AML, and fraud vendors.

What You Have:

• 5+ years of backend engineering, including 2+ years on production payments, fintech, wallet, or ledger systems.
• Hands-on experience with ledger design and accounting basics.
• Deep knowledge of relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
• Strong testing habits, including property-based or invariant tests for financial logic.
