Work cross-functionally to embed compliance into every stage of the supply chain while influencing key business decisions through data and risk mitigation. Success requires someone who acts with urgency, communicates with clarity, and embraces challenges as opportunities to raise the bar.
Develop strong cross-functional relationships with Legal, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, and external partners to align on compliance priorities and business needs. Quickly assess and document the current state of trade compliance by reviewing core materials, classification accuracy, and import/export activity, identifying key gaps and opportunities. Drive immediate impact through early wins. Establish performance baselines by launching a draft KPI dashboard. Shape the long-term compliance strategy by building a phased roadmap.
