Chemical Data Scientist

About the Role:

• You will own the full data pipeline from scrapers to classification models, ensuring supplier and chemical product data is accurate and current.
• Your work will directly impact how buyers find the right suppliers and materials on our platform.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build pipelines to collect supplier data and chemical product information from supplier sites, distributor catalogs, and trade databases.
• Develop and maintain web scrapers and automated ETL workflows to keep data current at scale.
• Clean, normalize, and reconcile inconsistent data into structured formats using chemical domain knowledge.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years in data science or data engineering, with exposure to messy, real-world datasets.
• Strong Python skills and experience building web scrapers and data pipelines.
• Working knowledge of chemical industry data, including CAS numbers, SDS documents, and supplier certifications.
