Electrical System Design and Lifecycle Management:

  • Own full lifecycle of major electrical infrastructure including HV switchyards, MV distribution, LV systems, and grounding grids.
  • Produce single line diagrams, equipment layouts, and cable routing, ensuring compliance with safety and redundancy requirements.
  • Manage vendor evaluations, technical specifications, and commissioning plans for high-power equipment.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Compliance:

  • Coordinate closely with nuclear, BOP, I&C, and infrastructure teams to integrate electrical systems with plant architecture.
  • Apply IEEE, NFPA, NESC, and IEC standards to all designs and support nuclear-specific electrical considerations.
  • Support interconnection design, regulatory compliance, and grid integration.

System Analysis and Performance:

  • Perform power flow, short circuit, arc flash, coordination, and transient studies using industry software.
  • Evaluate steady-state and transient performance of HV/MV distribution systems.
  • Develop schedules, budgets, and resource plans while managing external engineering contractors.
