Electrical Design and Integration:
- Establish the electrical design basis, scope boundaries, and deliverable register.
- Review and approve single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and equipment layouts.
- Coordinate with OEMs on alternator ratings, neutral grounding, and control systems.
Utility and Compliance Management:
- Manage utility interconnection requirements, including relay settings and revenue metering.
- Ensure compliance with IEEE, ANSI, NFPA 70, NESC, and OSHA standards.
- Support permitting processes with local authorities and maintain design configuration control.
Construction and Commissioning Support:
- Provide engineering support for construction, respond to RFIs, and participate in site walkdowns.
- Plan and support substation energization, generator synchronization, and commissioning.
- Coordinate with utilities and commissioning agents to close punch-list items.
