Staff Software Engineer

As a Staff Software Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the technical foundation of MagicSchool. This is a high-impact IC role where you’ll take end-to-end ownership of complex features and systems, influence architecture decisions, and mentor engineers to raise the bar for technical excellence across the organization. We are hiring multiple Staff Engineers to join different focus areas including Platform & APIs, Product Engineering, and Data & Analytics. This role involves leading complex projects, making architectural decisions, owning features from design to deployment, designing and building core APIs and services, writing clean code, coaching engineers, and partnering with product managers and designers. The goal is to deliver the right solutions while continuously improving engineering culture.
