Info Security Ops Engineer II

Take a lead role in developing and maintaining secure systems. Reporting to the Information Security Operations Manger, you will help the team monitor and maintain systems and applications, detect and respond to threats, resolve incidents, identify and eliminate vulnerabilities, and provide support to users throughout the diverse Fred Hutch technical community. You will also collaborate with Fred Hutch architecture, development, systems engineering and network engineering teams on complex and exciting technical projects to build secure solutions in the cloud and on-premises and raise our level of compliance with information security standards. Actively participate in the Incident Response Program, work closely with our MSSP to handle escalated security incidents, manage the security monitoring platform and respond to network and endpoint security events. You'll also understand security vulnerabilities and provide relevant guidance to other IT teams, assist in analyzing and defining security requirements and identifying security risks by participating in security reviews, evaluations, and risk assessments.
