Department Overview:

  • The Clinical Pharmacy Revenue Analyst independently performs specialized review of the entire medication use cycle, including medical charts and workflow, to ensure documentation and billing compliance.
  • This position uses pharmacy clinical knowledge to analyze workflow and provide technical support for pharmaceutical charge processes, collaborating with Pharmacists and Pharmacy Operations Management.
  • The role involves training team members and creating policies, using in-depth knowledge of Pharmacy Willow in Epic to triage issues and adapt workflows for accurate revenue capture.

Function/Duties of Position:

  • Verify medication dosing unit calculations and ensure current pricing by validating Epic data against external sources, proposing resolutions for inconsistencies.
  • Review HCPCS coding and Medicare billing quantities, analyze JW Waste Modifier documentation, and perform manual calculations and charges when necessary.
  • Troubleshoot deficiencies, maintain follow-ups, and collaborate with Nursing, Providers, and Pharmacy Operations to resolve issues and support billing compliance.
  • Run reports from EPIC, Omni center, and Bobj to review details, and perform manual charge capture for non-Epic system documentation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Three years of experience administering or coordinating parts of a project or program, with a bachelor's degree substituting for two years of experience.
  • Related experience in a hospital pharmacy technician role, with proficiency in Epic, Microsoft Office, and the ability to understand medical terms and perform pharmaceutical calculations.
  • Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team environment while meeting multiple deadlines.
