Design, develop, and optimize ETL pipelines using Epic Caboodle Console, SQL Server SSIS, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks , Azure Data Lake Storage , and Azure Data Factory.
Build and maintain star-schema data structures including facts, dimensions, SCDs, aggregates, and bridge tables.
Develop user-facing BI assets, including Power BI data models, dashboards, and semantic layers.
Review incoming referral orders to assess patient’s needs based on diagnosis, insurance coverage or lack thereof, and previous treatments.
Verify patient information including demographics, insurance coverage and financial status; confirm patient eligibility for health care coverage and clarify any managed care arrangements.
Contact the patient prior to service to inform them of their estimate and collect any pre-payments at that time.
Abstract information from patient medical records to assign correct codes and charges to outpatient surgical records, and/or observation cases.
Assign correct CPT, ICD-10-CM; HCPCS or ICD-10-PCS and DRGs for facility and/or professional charges, which would involve complex procedure and diagnostic coding within highly specialized coding areas.
Monitor activity for compliance with federal and/or state laws regarding correct coding set forth by CMS and Oregon Medical Assistance program (OMAP).
Maintains current information regarding surgery schedules for service site providers.
Triages and documents accurately telephone calls from patients including requests for medication refills, complaints, general information inquiries, and urgent health care concerns.
Schedules new patient appointments on line, and manually if necessary.
Acts as primary point of contact for oncology pain patients after referral to the CPC, until the patient has sufficient knowledge and resources to direct self-care.
Responsible for monitoring, coordinating care, and educating cancer patients and families as they move through the CPC.
Responds to criteria-based referrals as soon as possible, no longer than 24 hours, and schedules with appropriate provider within 72 hours.
