Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Voice Experience

Role Focus:

• Develop and improve machine learning systems for voice experiences end-to-end, including automatic speech recognition, turn detection, language understanding, retrieval-augmented workflows, and text-to-speech.
• Partner with applied researchers, product managers, designers, and engineers to translate model improvements into measurable customer and business impact.

Production Excellence:

• Design rigorous evaluation frameworks, analyze failure modes, and improve latency and robustness for real-time voice environments.
• Optimize low-latency ML workflows balancing model quality with responsiveness, scalability, and reliability in live conversations.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience building, evaluating, and deploying ML systems in production with a strong background in speech recognition, NLP, or conversational AI.
• Expertise with modern ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Hugging Face, plus understanding of transformer-based models and large-scale inference.
• Ability to work across research and engineering boundaries, communicate effectively, and influence cross-functional decisions.
