Assessment Item Specialist, Social Studies

What You'll Be Doing:

• Create and align assessment items to Social Studies standards and frameworks, ensuring rigorous, inquiry-based tasks.
• Curate primary and secondary sources, evaluate Depth of Knowledge, and configure technology-enhanced items within digital platforms.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews for bias, cultural responsiveness, and editorial standards.

About You:

• Possess at least one year of professional experience writing and reviewing Social Studies assessment items commercially for EdTech or publishing companies.
• Demonstrate expertise in educational assessment design, including formative and summative assessments, and mastery of state standards.
• Show skill in technical item production, editorial standards, and delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.
