Data Governance Lead

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and operate the enterprise data catalog, enforce metadata standards, and ensure complete documentation for every data product.
• Implement automated lineage capture, write data quality rules, and configure Snowflake governance controls like RBAC and masking policies.
• Define governance standards, operating model, and KPIs while working directly with platform engineers.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years in data governance, platform engineering, or related roles with hands-on delivery.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake governance controls, data catalogs, lineage tools, and data quality implementation.
• Strong systems thinking and ability to translate governance requirements into practical engineering patterns.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in regulated, security-sensitive environments and designing governance controls for AI/agent use cases.
• Experience leading governance programs and stewarding cross-functional data operating frameworks.
