About the role:
- This Senior Database Reliability Engineer is responsible for supporting all production database systems.
- They run MySQL 8.4 on Google Cloud Platform’s CloudSQL and Google Cloud Spanner.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and take ownership of core database systems for performance, availability, and security.
- Communicate critical data changes to the data warehousing team.
- Document and automate processes to eliminate recurring tasks.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience managing MySQL/CloudSQL at scale.
- Deep knowledge of MySQL internals and replication.
- Experience with Google Cloud Spanner and global deployments.
