Staff Database Engineer

Team and Role:

• Join the SWAT (Software Action Team) as the last line of defense for production stability.
• Act as the ultimate escalation point for internal and external customers in a high-stakes environment.
• Become an SME in production database troubleshooting and Linux performance analysis.

• Own incident root cause analysis across multi-tenant PostgreSQL/MariaDB fleets at scale.
• Develop observability tooling and automation to prevent recurrence of critical issues.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of database engineering experience in large-scale, enterprise environments.
• Deep PostgreSQL expertise including MVCC, WAL architecture, and advanced query tuning.
• Strong Unix/Linux skills with hands-on expertise in system performance diagnostics.
