Job Description
The Vice President of Land Development leads greenfield/brownfield site development, manages relationships with regional stakeholders for entitlements, incentives, and permitting, and coordinates entitlement activities across teams and consultants. This role ensures air permits align with energization plans and compiles development costs for asset proformas.
In utility development, the VP develops energization strategies for new acquisitions and expansions, executes utility load studies to evaluate capacity, and defines power delivery timelines for leasing commitments. They oversee electrical substation design/construction, standardize utility substation designs across properties, and manage utility project budgets and forecasting. This leader also coordinates specifications and procurement for power delivery and negotiates interconnection agreements with providers.
The role requires collaboration with internal teams on site selection and technical requirements, travel to development locations for stakeholder meetings, and working finance on tax incentives. They define and adapt build-to-suit requirements for key customers and monitor industry trends to align with best practices
