Accountabilities:
- Scale, tune, and operate high-throughput MariaDB environments supporting global products and services
- Design and continuously improve high-availability, backup, and disaster-recovery strategies
- Reduce manual operational work by building automation and improving consistency across database workflows
Requirements:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience operating MariaDB or MySQL in high-volume production environments
- Strong understanding of high-availability architectures, replication, and distributed database behavior
- Practical experience with CI/CD, GitOps, and infrastructure-as-code workflows, ideally using Terraform
Bonus:
- SRE practices, scripting or programming skills in Python or Rust, GitOps tooling, or multi-region architectures
- Interest in cryptocurrency, blockchain, or decentralized systems is a plus
