Senior Data Engineer

About the Role:

• Data and Analytics is a critical team within Business Technology, enabling integrated data layers for all of Samsara.
• This is not just a pipeline-builder role; you will architect Spark-driven workflows and build intelligent tooling.
• You will have the autonomy and support to make an impact as part of a recently public company.

What You'll Do:

• Develop and maintain end-to-end data pipelines and backend ingestion workflows.
• Design, build, and operate large-scale Spark and PySpark workflows for batch and streaming data processing.
• Build and maintain MCP servers that expose Samsara's data assets to AI models and internal tooling.

Who You Are:

• You have 8+ years of experience as a Software Engineer with a data focus or as a Data Engineer.
• You bring strong programming skills in Python and SQL, and hands-on Spark/PySpark experience.
• You think about data infrastructure as a product and care deeply about developer experience.
