Role & Team:
- Lead the scientific foundation of our Fuel Detection Model.
- Work with ML engineers and product team to define accuracy and validation methods.
- Opportunity to shape how utilities prevent catastrophic wildfires.
What You'll Do:
- Research vegetation structure and wildfire risk from satellite and environmental data.
- Design validation and evaluation methodologies, including ground-truth and uncertainty quantification.
- Communicate findings to engineers, customers, and the wildfire science community.
Skills & Experience:
- 8+ years of applied research in wildfire science, remote sensing, or related field.
- Deep expertise in remote sensing and geospatial analysis with Python ML tools.
- Track record of designing validation studies for environmental models.
