As-Needed Fire Protection Planner IV

How You'll Make an Impact:

• Analyze project maps, plans, and data sets and summarize wildfire conditions for inclusion in reports.
• Conduct field assessments to evaluate wildfire and evacuation hazard conditions.
• Prepare or support preparation of fire protection plans and technical reports.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in fire science, forestry, natural resources, or related field.
• Ability to conduct research and evaluate data sets and planning documents.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and active personal automobile liability insurance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent writing skills and GIS/CAD mapping skills.
• Understanding of microsimulation traffic modeling such as VISSIM.
